As a result of a significant business transformation program the CIO of this major Asian based international airline received a mandate to build an architecture practice to oversee the delivery of a portfolio of IT projects. Initiatives included a new cargo platform, refresh of online systems, updating in-flight technology, a refresh of core systems (including CRM and ERP) and an upgrade of all airport technologies
Resourcing the green field architecture team was a challenge. Airline Co. struggled to find qualified architects locally and were not receiving the required level of service and subject matter expertise from their usual international recruitment firms. This d put significant pressure on projects and caused essential deadlines to be missed.

Airline Co. sought a specialist organisation with expertise in architecture resourcing and engaged Enterprise Architects to source international architecture talent from Australia, New Zealand, UK and US. Due to the time critical demands of the projects EA had tight delivery deadlines and in addition took on responsibility to manage relocation and transition of the team into this Asian country.

Team requirements included enterprise architects, solution architects, information architects, infrastructure architects and integration architects as well as specific requirements in a variety of technology domains including CRM, ERP and on-line solutions. EA initiated a global search, applied our assessment and profiling approach and supplied the team with TOGAF certification and training.

Over a 3 month period, EA established a close partnership with Airline Co. and successfully sourced and deployed a major team of architects into Airline Co.’s Asian headquarters. EA built a high performing architecture team which managed the successful delivery of numerous IT projects.
