Alan has worked in numerous sectors including FMCG, finance, insurance, manufacturing, healthcare, mining, utilities and telecommunications ensuring that programs deliver against compliance, governance and regulatory issues in all the continents of the world.
Being used to operating in highly regulated environments, Alan brings a skill in precision and practicality to architecture and governance.
He is able to grasp significant issues quickly and develop an understanding of how these can be articulated and solved to the organisation’s continued advantage. His MBA thesis forms the basis of the TOGAF® 9 Architecture Governance Standard. Currently Alan is helping to develop COBIT 5.

Over the past 6 years Alan has trained in excess of 1,600 practitioners in TOGAF® globally. Practitioners ranged from a mixture of industries, such as: aerospace, banking, communications, defence, energy, finance, insurance, pharmaceuticals, retail and technology vendors. Alan is also an experienced COBIT instructor. He has provided training courses around the world in corporate governance, financial regulation and IT governance for the executive board.
